SABM Education and Research Fund

The SABM Board of Directors approved the development of a charitable fund to receive unrestricted gifts and contributions for investment to sustain SABM's long term viability. SABM's charitable fund will increase education and research opportunities for members, healthcare professionals and the public in the field of patient blood management in alignment with SABM's core purpose and goals outlined in its strategic plan.

Charitable fund goals:

To solicit and manage unrestricted gifts and contributions for investing to enhance the capacity of SABM to fulfill its core purpose by:

1. Establishing opportunities that will promote professional development of its members and potential members

2. Providing resources to enhance the quality of public discourse on issues related to patient blood management, anemia and related issues

3. Fostering appropriate relationships with industry and the broader medical community, both nationally and internationally

4. Broadening opportunities for participation in the full range of Society activities by individuals and groups having limited resources

5. Establishing opportunities that will promote research in the area of patient blood management

The SABM Education and Research Fund is the charitable fund for the Society for the Advancement of Blood Management. As a 501(c)(3) organization, donations made to SABM are tax-deductible as charitable contributions to the extent allowed by the law.
