Ask the Expert

This section of the SABM website is designed for the public and patients. SABM physicians and medical professionals are experts in blood management, which includes blood conservation and options to reducing the need for transfusions in everyday clinical practice. The specialties of SABM's experts include hematology, nephrology, oncology, cardiology, critical care, surgery, transfusion medicine, healthcare administrators, and blood management/conservation program managers.

Send an e-mail to AskTheExpert@sabm.org. Your question will then be forwarded to a SABM expert. When an answer is available you will be notified by e-mail. Some of the questions asked will be posted to the website in a new Frequently Asked Questions section to share with others. For purposes of confidentiality, please do not include names or other identifiers in any correspondence.
