BLOOD UTILIZATION COORDINATOR

Job Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for implementation and coordination of the Blood Management Program
- Will develop, implement and sustain practices in transfusion medicine to ensure appropriate use of blood and blood components
- Generate and analyze the quality and performance improvement data for the Blood Management Program.
- Coordinates, schedules and manages peer review process for transfusion and preoperative blood collection and administration services
- Coordinates information assembly including data collection, trending and report development of AABB, CAP, Joint Commission and FDA required indicators, other clinical outcome measurements and data to organize information for performance improvement decision-making
The Blood Utilization Coordinator is accountable to the Director of Quality & Accreditation as well as the Blood Utilization Committee.
