Being part of the SABM team is an important part of supporting health care education.

NOTE: If you have ever been a member of SABM, you MUST renew your membership. PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE A MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION. To renew, click here. If you do not remember your username and/or password, click on Login Help then follow the link in the email you receive. Dues are paid on an annual basis (January - December) and can be paid for 1 year or 3 years.

Dues paid for three (3) years receive a 10% discount. If you are joining during the last quarter of the year, membership will be extended to the end of the next calendar year. The Membership Committee reviews applications at least four times per year. After approval by the committee, the applications are submitted to the Board of Directors for ratification. Membership is valid from January 1 until the end of the calendar year (unless applying during the last quarter of a calendar year.) If an applicant does not fulfill membership requirements, dues will be refunded in full.

FULL MEMBER
(Full-Physician - $250 USD / Full-Allied Health - $200 USD)

Full membership shall be open to those individuals who have a demonstrated interest in, are involved in vocations related to, or contribute to the field of blood management as determined by the Board of Directors in its discretion.

Full Members shall have full membership rights and privileges, including the right to vote and to serve on the Board of Directors and as officers of the Corporation. Full Members in good standing who are physicians are eligible to hold any Officer position, while Full Members in good standing who are not physicians are eligible to hold the office of Secretary/Treasurer only.

AFFILIATE MEMBER ($300 - USD)

Affiliate membership is open to those individuals who provide, or are employed by enterprises that provide, products or services to a blood management program or otherwise to the field of blood management. Affiliate membership does not include the right to vote, serve on the Board of Directors, or hold office.

STUDENT MEMBER ($20 - USD)

Student membership is open to those individuals who are enrolled in an accredited education program. Student membership is limited to the period of time that the individual is enrolled in such program but not exceeding five (5) years. When no longer eligible as a Student member, individuals are encouraged to apply to become a FULL member (either a FULL-Physician or FULL-Allied Health). Student membership does not include the right to vote, serve on the Board of Directors, or hold office.
