GUIDELINES: The following guidelines address key factors that the SABM Abstract Review Committee considers when reviewing abstracts. Attention to these details will assist the Committee in making their decision.

  1. The abstract must adequately describe the objectives and results of the study so that the quality of work can be evaluated by the Abstract Committee. The title of the abstract should be fully informative of the contents. The abstract should consist of: a) an introduction that presents the purpose of the study; b) a brief description of the procedures employed; c) a summary of the results; and d) a statement of the conclusions.
  2. The financial supporters(s) of the study should be listed at the end of all abstracts. All authors must indicate whether or not they have a personal financial interest in the study supporters(s) and, if so, the nature of the interest.
  3. SABM accepts Encore Abstracts.
  4. Notification for those abstracts selected for presentation will be sent by July 15, 2010.
  5. All abstract presenters are required to register for the meeting and pay all registration and travel costs.

If you are unable to submit an abstract electronically and wish to discuss options, contact the SABM Office at (414) 276-9339.
