  • I thank SABM for providing the support for this event. Having the tools was a big help. In addition, I see it as a positive event helping the medical community and the people who we serve become more knowledgeable about issues involving blood management.
  • This designated week provides a platform for discussing this subject, thank you.
  • I worked on getting this week under way a few years ago. This is the first time I was able to do it at this hospital. It was well received and appreciated by all. I will definitively do it again next year.
  • Pdf files were great
  • Helpful info from SABM, thank you
  • Many in the public and hospital sector still misunderstand blood management, however more are beginning to understand due to educational initiatives like Blood Management Awareness Week and what the goal of appropriate blood management is. Please keep up the great work.
  • This year I found good interest with the materials we were able to provide and peak staff interest
  • The week was a huge success. I already have volunteers signed up for next year.
  • Interestingly I had many good conversations with nurses and other medical staff professionals. All are in agreement that better blood management is essential for better patient outcomes. Many doctors i spoke to also feel this way. I think it is essential for hospitals to look closely at their transfusions guidelines and have these reviewed regularly. These must be analyzed against the latest literature.
