Pittsburgh is Best of the World 2012
National Geographic Traveler ranked Pittsburgh as one of the best places in the world to visit in its 2012 list of the Best of the World. The Soldiers & Sailors Museum is only minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. The surrounding educational and cultural landmarks and the classical Hornbostel architecture create a one of a kind setting for the 2012 SABM Annual Meeting.
History, legends and traditions thrive within the newly restored walls of Soldiers & Sailors. With a variety of unique settings, Soldiers & Sailors provides a distinctive alternative to conventional venues for many educational meetings. Pittsburgh will offer SABM participants the perfect setting to network, share ideas, and collaborate on future education, business and research opportunities. The agenda will offer an array of choices for those new to patient blood management, as well as those who have many years experience in the field.
SABM Call for President's Award Nominations
The SABM President’s Award is presented annually at the Society’s Annual Meeting to candidates who have made a substantial contribution to the field of blood conservation, contributed to the public good in the area of safety of the blood supply or reduction of unnecessary transfusions, or have had a career that focused on blood.
