Sherri Ozawa, RN, has been involved in the field of blood conservation/bloodless medicine and surgery for over ten years. She was the original Director of The New Jersey Institute for the Advancement of Bloodless Medicine and Surgery at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, where she continues to serve in a consulting role. Her background in critical care nursing enabled her to help create one of the largest multidisciplinary bloodless medicine and surgery programs in the world. She has lectured throughout the United States and internationally, with a particular focus on the nursing aspects of blood management. She has published numerous articles on the subject, and continues to be actively involved in research in the field of blood conservation.
