Sherri Ozawa, RN, has been involved in the field of patient blood management for over fifteen years. She was the original Director of The New Jersey Institute for the Advancement of Bloodless Medicine and Surgery at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, and continues in the role of Clinical Director for The Institute for Patient Blood Management and Bloodless Medicine and Surgery at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. Her background in critical care nursing enabled her to help create one of the largest and widely known multidisciplinary blood management programs in the world. She has lectured throughout the United States and internationally, with a particular focus on the nursing aspects of blood management. She has published numerous articles on the subject, and continues to be actively involved in research in the field of blood conservation.
