Howard L. Corwin, MDDr. Howard L. Corwin is Professor of Medicine and Anesthesiology at Dartmouth Medical School in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Dr. Corwin is also Section Chief of Critical Care Medicine and Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
Dr. Corwin received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Corwin also completed a clinical and research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a subspecialty in both Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Corwin's current research interests include anemia in the ICU, transfusion practice and transfusion alternatives. He has published numerous books, book chapters, and articles.
